The Land Office of Kulaijaya District, is formerly known as the Land Office of Sub District of Kulai. The Sub-District of Kulai was established and officially Gazetted as No. 630 dated May 5, 1985 under section 11 of the National Land Code 1965, which consists of Senai-Kulai Sub-District(PW 216) and Sedenak Sub-District (PW 217) in Johor Bahru. The Johor State Executive Council on 18th October 2006 has approved the plan to fully upgrade the small district of Kulai.
The followings have been agreed by MMK Johor Bil. 6/2007 pada 21 Februari 2007 :-
· The small district of Kulai to be fully upgraded and known as Kulaijaya.
· The Sub-area of Senai /Kulai and Sub-District of Sedenak to be taken from Johor Bahru and put in the District of Kulaijaya.
· The Sub-area of Senai-Kulai and Sedenak in Kulaijaya District to be broken up into 4 Sub-districts.:
1. District of Kulai
ii. Sub-District of Senai
iii. Sub-District of Bukit Batu
iv. Sub-District of Sedenak
· The total of Kulaijaya area is 75.375 hectares (186.261 acres) and consists of:
1. The town of Kulai
ii. Sub-District of Kulai
iii. Sub-District ofSenai
iv. Sub-District of Bukit Batu
v. Sub-District of Sedenak
The establishment Kulaijaya has been gazetted on 28th March, 2007 and officially opened by His Royal Highness, the late Sultan Iskandar Ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Ismail on 21st June, 2008. Kulaijaya is also the 10th District in Johor State. The Land Office in Kulai District officially began its operations on 1st January, 2008.
